The Yamaha RX7, Digital Rhythm Programmer, was released in 1987. The Yamaha RX7 is equipped with 100 PCM voices, at 12 bit resolution, and powerful programming capacity: 100 patterns, 20 songs, and three chains. The ability to edit pitch, release, pan-pot, and other parameters for each voice is the foundation for more creative drum sounds. Users can save their rhythm patterns, edited voices, and other data on RAM cartridges.
The main aim of this sample collection is to provide you, the end use, with a selection of audio samples, from the classic Yamaha RX7.
This can be helpful if, for example, you are interested in purchasing a second hand Yamaha RX7, but want to preview the sounds before buying. Supplied, are the full set of 100 voices featured on the Yamaha RX7.
All samples are in WAV file format. No effects have been applied to the samples.
Bit Format
To give more flexibility, we wanted to offer these sounds in both 24 bit and 16 bit format. A full list of samples is provided.
