About The Roland TR-626

The Roland TR-626 was first released in 1987 by Roland Corporation of Japan. Dubbed a Rhythm Composer, the TR-626 features 16 drum pads and 30 drum sounds. The pitch and the volume can be independently set for each sound.

Popularity

While this drum machine gets plenty of bad reviews online, The Roland TR-626, along with many drum machines from the 80s, are becoming more popular today, due to the increase in 'SynthWave' music production. (Example Echo Shore - Midnight Runner)

The Roland TR-626 has come great sounds for that 80s vibe. I guess the main question should be, is the asking price of a second hand unit worth the use you get out of it. Like any piece of gear, its only as good as the user and the intended use.

About This Roland TR-626 Sample Collection

The main aim of this sample collection is to provide you, the end use, with a selection of audio samples, from the classic Roland TR-626.
This can be helpful if, for example, you are interested in purchasing a second hand Roland TR-626, but want to preview the sounds before buying. Supplied, are the full set of sounds featured on the Roland TR-626.

The full set of 30 sounds are provided in 3 folders. These are "16 Bit", "24 Bit" and "32 Bit". All samples are in WAV file format and provided in a RAR archive.
