About The Roland TR-08

The Roland TR-08 is part of the "Roland Boutique" series.
The TR-08 is a remake of the classic TR-808, commonly known as the 808, drum machine, from the 80s.
The original TR-808 was produces between 1980 and 1983 and is easily the most famous and influential drum machine ever made.

About This TR-08 Sample Collection

This collection has been created to give you, the end user, a range of samples from the Roland TR-08 drum machine.
During the default factory state, this collection of samples were recorded direct from a Roland TR-08 via USB.
Midi was also used to provide much more of a precise range in sounds.

All samples were recorded in 24 Bit. We have also supplied 16 bit versions of all samples.

About This Roland Tr-08 Sample Collection

All samples contained in this collection are organized into folders.
This collection also contains help files and a built-in index list, in HTML format, which allows you to preview all the samples.
The folder and file names correspond with the instrument names given on the Roland TR-08 itself.
Example: SnareDrum, HiConga, CLaves and so on.

Default Samples and Filenames

The "Default" samples are sounds recorded with the dial settings in their central position.

Accents

This Roland TR-08 collection includes the standard drum sounds and the assigned "Accent" for each instrument.
At the time of recording, the "Accent Level" was turned to the maximum setting for "ALL" Accents across "ALL" instruments.
Samples that are accents, will contain "Accent" in the filename:

Example Accent File name: "handClaP (Accent).wav"

At the time of recording, we felt recording the assigned "Accent" for each instrument, at the maximum setting, was beneficial.

Donationware

This collection is "Donationware".
Much time and effort goes into creating these sample packs.
When you make a donation, of at least the minimum amount, we will send you, via email, an Access Code for the download link. You can then access your download link, with the Access Code, via the Download Portal
