About The Roland TR-505

The Roland TR-505 Rhythm Composer drum machine, released in 1986, comes from the same family as the Roland TR-909, TR-808, TR-707, TR-626 and TR-606. Samples in the TR-505 are stored as 8-bit unsigned PCM waveforms at a sample rate of 25 kHz.

Popularity

The Roland TR-505, along with many other drum machines from the 80s, are becoming more popular today, due to the increase in 'SynthWave' music production. (Example Echo Shore - Midnight Runner)

About This Roland Tr-505 Sample Collection

The main aim of this sample collection is to provide you, the end use, with a selection of samples, from the classic Roland TR-505.
This can be helpful if, for example, you are interested in purchasing a second hand Roland TR-505, but want to preview the sounds before buying. This is a small collection of samples, due to the limited amount of samples found on the TR-505.

The full set of sounds are split into 2 folders. These are "16 Bit" and "24 Bit". No effects have been applied to the samples. All samples are in WAV file format and supplied in a rar archive.
