Donationware License only applies to our "Patterns", not our "Sample Collections".
All Donationware "Patterns" are copyright registered (with Copyright House) by Acid Tabs, but a license is granted to those who make a donation.
All donations help cover the cost of hosting and so on.
A single donation can only be applied to one pattern license.
For each Donationware pattern required, a matching donation needs to be made.
Due to transaction fees, we have set a minimum donation amount to £2.
Donationware patterns and licenses are personalised with your name, as the licensee.
All patterns and licences will be issued in PDF format and sent to your email address, so please ensure to enter a valid email address.
Please be aware that a Donationware license DOES NOT sign over the copyright of the pattern.
A Donationware License grants the end user (and only the end user) a royalty free license to use the pattern for most purposes (even commercial use).
Licenses can not be issued in company names. For a license to be valid, you must provide your full legal name.

Includes:
1. Non-commercial Use - You are licensed to use this pattern for "non-commercial" purposes in a musical composition. (See "Excludes" below)
2. Commercial Use - You are licensed to use this pattern for "commercial" purposes in a musical composition. (See "Excludes" below)
3. Remixes or Derivatives - You are licensed to create and sell remixes or derivatives of this pattern, plus any music or samples created based on this pattern.
4. Music reselling - You are licensed to create and sell music using a "Donationware" pattern.

A Donationware License is non-refundable, non-transferable and only grants the named donator, the rights set out in the license.

It should go without saying, but say it we must - Preview samples can not be used without a Donationware License.

Creative Commons Licenses - Creative Commons (CC), in short, is an international non-profit organization who provide CC licenses and public domain tools that give every person and organization in the world a free, simple, and standardized way to grant copyright permissions for creative and academic works; ensure proper attribution; and enable others to copy, distribute, and make use of those works.
We utilize some of the Creative Commons licenses to help us share our work. These licenses provide a simple, standardized way to give "You" permission to share and use "Our" creative work - on conditions of our choice, which are set out in each license type. Works under a Creative Commons License, are more much flexible than those that are "Copyright Protected".

There are 6 different Creative Commons Licenses, let's have a look at each license in more detail - Pay close attention to the requirements or conditions, of each license.
