About The PCM Rom Card SN-R8-01

The PCM ROM card, SN-R8-01, features 26 sounds that can be loaded into the Roland R8 and Roland R8 MKII.
These cards are getting much harder to find and are very expensive, considering how many samples are featured on them.

About This Roland R8 SN-R8-01 Contemporary Percussion Audio Sample Collection

In this sample collection we wanted to capture, and provide, the sound set from the Roland R8 ROM Card SN-R8-01, Contemporary Percussion.
Prior to recording, a full factory reset was performed on the Roland R8 MKII.
No effects, EQ, compression or limiting have been applied to the samples.
All samples were treated with iZotope RX, giving a gentle cleaning process, to remove background hiss or hums, that may have been emitted by the Roland R-8 MK II.
The full set of sounds are split into 4 folders. These are "16 Bit Mono", "16 Bit Stereo", "24 Bit Mono " and "24 Bit Stereo". All samples are in WAV file format.

Bit Format

To give more flexibility, we wanted to offer these sounds in both 24 Bit and 16 Bit format. (Note: The built-in sounds on the Roland R-8 MK II are 16 Bit, 44KHz)

This collection is "Donationware".
Much time and effort goes into creating these sample packs.
